This Device, Cloud Sync, Card Library, And Market Values
How ScryBrew separates your working device data, free Cloud Sync, Scryfall card library updates, and market value estimates.
This Device, Cloud Sync, Card Library, And Market Values
ScryBrew separates four different kinds of data so the app can stay fast, local-first, and clear.
This Device
Your working collection, decks, scans, and local practice state live on this device first. That is why the app can stay useful without a constant server connection.
Cloud Sync
Signed-in users can use Cloud Sync to carry collection and deck changes across devices. ScryBrew checks whether the cloud copy changed before doing heavier work. If you made changes on your phone, another device may say: You made changes on another device. Update this device with those changes?
If this device has new local changes, the app uses Back up my changes language. Normal sync should not use scary words like replace or overwrite.
Card Library
The card library is Scryfall reference data on this device: names, rules text, legality, images, and cached price fields. Update card library means updating that reference data. It does not back up your collection or decks.
Market Values
Market values are estimates from cached card-price fields and finance features. Refreshing market values is separate from syncing your owned inventory.
