Glossary and Codex
How ScryBrew separates free definitions from deeper premium Codex context.
Glossary and Codex
The Glossary and Codex share one goal: help players understand the words ScryBrew uses without turning help into a maze.
Basic Definitions Are Free
Basic definitions are free, short, and readable without sign-in. They explain terms such as commander, color identity, mana curve, added card, confirmed card, OCR, import, export, goldfish, Oracle text, legality, Cloud Sync, demo data, and premium features.
The free layer should help a player move. It should not shame beginners, hide core product language, or interrupt a lookup with an upsell.
The Expanded Codex Adds Depth
The expanded Codex adds examples, deckbuilding context, common mistakes, deeper rules notes, ScryBrew product meaning, and ScryDuel practice interpretation. It is a retention perk, not a comprehension ransom.
Current Canon
The current repo canon lives in docs/glossary. Official rules terms should defer to Wizards' current rules materials.
